Nathan Olsen’s artistic practice engages with themes of spirituality and solitude.

Nathan is a self-taught photographer whose practice has been shaped by years of migrant farm work and continued visits to his ancestral homeland in Mexico. Photography mediated each of these periods, providing stimulus for inquiry and prompting research. For him, photographic essays, personal projects, and commercial work continue to be driven by a faith in photography as an epistemological tool. An interest in visual culture and our modern relationship with images is a driving force behind his artistic experimentation.
